Tigre Unisul team revives passion for the sport

In June / 2007 Tigre S/A formalized the sponsorship of the volleyball team of Unisul, incorporating itself in a partnership which includes the City Hall of Joinville and the Governor of Santa Catarina State.

More than a volleyball team led by the Olympic champion and top-level player Giovane Gávio, the Tigre Unisul team revives the spirits of the supporters of the Joinville family, the Tigre family.

“Volleyball is one of the few collective sports which, in spite of being extremely competitive, does not involve direct physical confrontation, working on fundamental values, cultivated in the company, such as great action, the search for excellence and team work”, says the president of Tigre, F. Amaury Olsen.

"This partnership is not only an alliance of sponsorship. It is an alliance of victories in the sport and serious and  professional investment", says Gerson Luiz Joner da Silveira, rector of Unisul.

"A bold and winning partnership is starting. We were faced with the challenge of finding a partner able to continue this winning project and we managed to do so. Here in Joinville we will create an important legacy for the sport beside Tigre and the City Hall”, reveals Giovane Gávio.

The matches of Tigre Unisul in Joinville will always be in the Centreventos Cau Hansen (Cau Hansen Events Center), safeguarding the name of Carlos Roberto Hansen, business leader of Joinville recognized and outstanding for his support for the sport –

In the Young Citizen Project, of which the main support is Tigre, there are 3,200 young athletes dedicated exclusively to volleyball.
